Job Description: The successful candidate will join a team responsible for the financial operations and reporting of the company. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will provide access and exposure to all departments and levels of a growing organisation. Be able to demonstrate an aptitude through education or otherwise of being able to pick up tasks / concepts quickly.
Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be involved in the following areas -
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Day End Reporting
- Bank transaction processing and reconciliations
- Updating and reconciling nominal ledger accounts
- Sales Ledger
- Analysis of Company Overheads
- Assist in preparation of external reporting packs
- Prepare certain information which will feed into management / statutory accounts
Job Skills & Requirements: The successful candidate will be involved in the following areas -
- Completed studies for a business or finance qualification
- Previous experience in a finance team environment is desirable but not essential
- Have started to study or are planning to study for an accounting qualification
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel
- Can demonstrate an ability to plan & prioritise one’s work
- Be efficient, with good attention to detail
- Have a positive, enthusiastic, can-do attitude
- Be comfortable assisting Financial Accountants with complex queries
- Can demonstrate eagerness to learn all departments processes and functions

The successful candidate will join the First Citizen team reporting to the Head of SME Equipment Finance.
Job Description: The primary function of the Agri & SME Customer Advisor (Direct Sales) is to generate and manage new business opportunities within the Agri and SME sectors by quoting customers directly over the phone, taking finance applications, and submitting proposals through our bespoke application platform. The role requires strong product knowledge in Hire Purchase and Leasing, a good understanding of the Irish Agri and SME equipment landscape, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, office-based environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the company’s growth ambitions in this sector.
Responsibilities: We offer excellent career opportunities to the right candidate, who is likely to demonstrate the following key characteristics:
- Currently, or recently, involved in an Agri or SME finance environment in Ireland, with 3–5 years’ experience in a customer-facing or credit application processing role;
- Strong understanding of the Irish Agri and SME equipment sectors, with a working knowledge of the financial products relevant to these industries (Hire Purchase, Leasing, etc.);
- Experience quoting and processing finance applications directly with customers, including the ability to review supporting documentation such as bank statements, accounts, and tax certs;
- Proven ability to manage relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders in a professional and efficient manner;
- Provide operational and administrative support to the National Sales Team, contributing to the smooth delivery of customer proposals and account management;
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly explain finance structures, including Interest Rate / APR calculations, as well as the end-to-end application process to customers;
- High attention to detail, with strong administrative and system input skills;
- APA (Loans) or QFA qualification essential, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements;
- Proficiency in Excel and the ability to work with internal software systems and reporting tools;
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach, with the ability to contribute to and support wider team goals;
- While the role is primarily office-based, flexibility in working location (Dublin, Cork, or remote) will be considered depending on the candidate’s experience.

Job Description: This is an opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Senior financial accountant to join a growing organisation in the financial services sector. This role reports to the Financial Controller and provides an opportunity for the successful applicant to lead and take ownership of key tasks within Finance. The successful candidate will contribute to and gain experience across several areas including Financial Reporting, Financial Operations, Treasury, Asset Backed Securitisations, SPVs and FP&A.
With the assistance of the general finance team, you will be responsible for -
- Management reporting and statutory accounting work streams including the Group Consolidation file
- Cash flow and P&L forecasting for liquidity and financial planning purposes
- Review, analysis and interpretation of legal documents and SPV structures
- Reviewing and sign-off on process controls and other month end reports
- Engaging with 3rd party service providers (CSPs, Cash Managers) on queries in relation to SPV activities and cash flows
- Engaging with auditors on annual financial statement audits and other such exercises and managing information delivery timelines
- Systems accounting in respect of HP and lease databases
- Treasury management in the form of liquidity and hedging monitoring and modelling
- Calculation and preparation of VAT and corporation tax returns
- Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) 5+yrs PQE
- Understanding of securitisations and SPVs is highly desired
- Up-to-date technical knowledge of IFRS
- Ability to provide commercial insights based on analysis of financial statements, legal structures etc.
- Excellent time management and planning skills so that work is prioritized and strict deadlines
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and the capacity to work on own initiative
- Track and report on loan portfolio performance.
- Keep up to date with market trends, property values, and economic factors impacting lending decisions.
- Assist in refining credit policies and risk management strategies.
